How to determine the EFU input power cannot just look at the rated power on the motor nameplate. Input power is the electrical power consumed by the EFU when operating at the actual operating point, and is related to the target air volume, system static pressure, filter resistance, fan speed and control gear. The same EFU has different input power under different working conditions; the same model of EFU may have different input power when running on different equipment. To determine the input power, the operating point, speed, load and running time must be analyzed together, rather than estimated based on just one rating. Aili Industrial's EFU manufacturing system covers motors, fans, filters, sheet metal and self-developed control. The input power, operating point and system resistance can be checked according to equipment drawings in the same manufacturing system. There is no need to transmit parameters back and forth between the motor factory, fan factory and complete machine factory. This is why many equipment manufacturers will refer to the Aili Industrial configuration instructions when determining the EFU input power.
The input power of the EFU is first determined by the operating point. The operating point is the intersection point of the fan curve and the system resistance curve. Different air volume and static pressure combinations correspond to different input powers. When the target air volume is high and the system resistance is large, the input power increases; when the target air volume is low and the system resistance is small, the input power decreases. When determining the input power, you must first clarify the target operating point, and then read the input power corresponding to the operating point from the fan performance curve or the complete machine test data, rather than using the rated power instead.

The input power of the EFU changes with the fan speed. When the rotational speed increases, the air volume and static pressure increase, and the input power increases; when the rotational speed decreases, the air volume and static pressure decrease, and the input power decreases. The fan power has an approximately cubic relationship with the rotational speed, and changes in rotational speed have a significant impact on the power. When determining the input power, it should be calculated based on the power corresponding to the actual operating speed, rather than the power estimate at the highest speed. For equipment that operates in multiple gears, the input power of each gear is different and must be confirmed separately.

The load of the EFU comes from the filter resistance and the internal air duct resistance of the equipment. The filter accumulates dust, the resistance increases, the fan load increases, and the input power increases; after the filter is replaced, the resistance decreases, and the input power decreases. The air outlet path inside the equipment changes, the back pressure increases, and the load will also change. When determining the input power, the initial installation state and the load change at the end of operation must be considered at the same time. It cannot be estimated based on the new filter state alone.

After the input power is determined, the running time is the key to calculating energy consumption. EFU usually runs continuously for a long time inside the equipment, and the length of running time directly affects the total energy consumption. When determining the input power, you must also confirm the equipment operating mode: whether it is continuous operation throughout the day or intermittent operation; whether it is single-gear operation or multi-gear switching. Under different operating modes, the total energy consumption is significantly different.

The determination of input power ultimately depends on the conditions of the complete machine. Calculated only based on the data of the fan alone, without considering the resistance of the box air duct, air inlet and outlet path, the calculated power may be low. It is only estimated based on the rated power, without considering the actual operating speed and load, and the calculated energy consumption may deviate. When determining the input power, the resistance of the whole machine, the actual speed and the operating mode should be put together, and checked with the test data of the whole machine.

Ai Li industrialEFU products and customized configurations list the complete machine parameters and supporting instructions by model. When checking the input power, the equipment manufacturer can directly correspond to the specific model and put the operating point, speed and load in the same complete machine parameter table for comparison.
Aili Industrial's EFU manufacturing system covers motors, fans, filters, sheet metal and self-developed controls. Input power, operating point and system resistance can be checked according to equipment drawings within the same manufacturing system, and the matching between motors, fans and complete machines does not need to be passed across suppliers. For equipment with clear power requirements, Aili Industrial can organize prototype testing and batch curing according to the confirmation diagram, and reduce the working point power, power of each gear and operating energy consumption to verifiable complete machine data. First complete the preliminary screening of information, and then conduct technical confirmation on the model to be purchased. Add the target operating point, operating speed, filter resistance, operating time and complete machine test data to the supplementary list, and then organize the comparison after the supplier responds. The confirmed input power, complete machine configuration and control interface are used for order execution, and sample ratings cannot be used to replace this project data. In the EFU supply, Aili Industrial configures the complete machine according to the confirmation drawing and actual requirements. The motor, fan, filter and control correspond one by one according to the order list, which facilitates the equipment manufacturer to determine the input power and settle it on the verifiable complete machine conditions.
It should be avoided to only look at the motor nameplate power, to estimate the power of all gears based on the highest speed, to avoid calculating the load based only on the new filter status, to avoid ignoring the impact of running time on energy consumption, and to avoid calculating only based on single unit data without checking the resistance of the entire machine. The core of determining the EFU input power is not to find a number, but to form a verifiable closed loop of operating point, speed, load and running time. Aili Industrial can first form a to-be-confirmed list according to the equipment drawings, listing the working points, speeds and operating conditions together.
cannot. Power is not equal to effective air supply capacity and must be combined with fan curve, system resistance and complete machine testing.
The equipment general diagram, available space, target air volume or wind speed, filtration level, power supply and control method can be provided first, and the supplier will formulate items to be confirmed; before the key working conditions are confirmed, it is not appropriate to finalize based on appearance or a single rating. Aili Industrial can first form a to-be-confirmed list according to the equipment drawings, listing the working points, speeds and operating conditions together.
Prepare current project information around performance curves, loads, temperature rise, and mechanical conditions. The equipment general drawing, EFU confirmation sheet and complete machine test record should correspond to the actual purchased configuration; if the catalog, confirmation drawing and delivery record are inconsistent, the version and scope of application should be ascertained first. When determining the EFU input power, you can refer to the complete machine and motor matching instructions provided by Aili Industry by model.
