H14 filters are often used in equipment-side applications that require higher particle control requirements. The focus of the selection is not on 'higher efficiency', but on whether the resistance of the filter at the target air volume, the available residual pressure of the fan, the sealing of the whole machine and the project acceptance method can form a closed loop.
Efficiency ratings should be derived from process risks, cleanliness targets or customer specifications. If the project requires a higher level or specific most penetrating particle size detection, it should be confirmed according to the corresponding standards, and the H14 name cannot be used to replace the complete technical conditions.
When changing from other grades to H14, resistance may change. It is necessary to check the air volume, speed, power and noise under the initial resistance and expected final resistance of the new filter, and adjust the fan or filter area if necessary.
The pressing surface of the filter frame and the box body should be flat, the compression amount of the sealing gasket should be reasonable, and the fixed point distribution should avoid local warping. High-efficiency filter media cannot compensate for air leakage from the frame or mounting surface.
If on-site scanning is required, upstream aerosol introduction, concentration sampling, downstream scanning space and detection ports should be considered. When the equipment structure is too compact, an implementable detection plan should be determined in advance.
After the new filter is installed, the pressure difference, air volume, rotation speed, power and key point wind speed should be recorded and rebalanced if necessary. This data can serve as a baseline for later judging resistance growth and performance changes.
You cannot judge based on the grade alone. The actual resistance depends on the filter material, effective area and structure. You should check the specific data.
Not recommended. Bypass air leakage will directly affect the filtration effect of the entire machine.
Factory and on-site verification can be carried out according to project requirements. The boundaries of concern between the two are different and should be clarified in the technical agreement.
H14 filters usually need to be selected based on filtration efficiency, initial resistance, rated air volume, sealing method and leak detection requirements. Since the filter resistance will affect the EFU operating point, the configuration cannot be determined based only on the efficiency level. It is also necessary to check whether the fan can provide the required air volume under the corresponding resistance conditions.
Aili Industrial can match the EFU complete machine and H14 filter based on the equipment cleanliness requirements, installation space, air supply area and system resistance. For semiconductor equipment, precision instruments and local clean areas, the air volume, air speed uniformity, sealing status and control parameters can be checked during the prototype stage before determining the subsequent mass production configuration.

Conclusion: When the H14 filter is used in EFU, the efficiency, resistance at the target air volume, fan residual pressure, filter and box sealing, and leak detection methods should be confirmed at the same time. Simply upgrading H13 to H14 may change the operating point of the entire machine.
