The air supply port of the liquid tank seal is sealed by inserting the edge of the knife into the liquid tank of the filter element to form a continuous liquid seal. The structure itself is not complicated, but it is easy to cause problems when checking the dimensions - both sides of the drawing are correct when viewed separately, but when they are installed together, they find that one side is not inserted in place.
The core of the verification is not a single size, but the matching relationship between the blade edge and the groove body. Position, width and depth, and continuity of four corners, any missing item may leave leaks.
What is marked on the box drawing is the knife edge: outline, position from the installation reference plane, knife edge height and thickness. What is marked on the filter element drawing is the liquid tank: the center position of the tank body, the tank width, the tank depth, and the available insertion depth.
If these two sets of drawings are measured separately and each is qualified, it does not mean that they will be sealed when put together. The key is whether they use the same installation baseline. For example, the box body uses the flange surface as the benchmark to mark the position of the knife edge, and the filter element uses the liquid tank bottom surface as the benchmark to mark the tank body position. The benchmarks on both sides are inconsistent, and the reason for the misalignment of the dimensions cannot be found.
Putting the two pictures together before placing an order and checking them against the same benchmark is more reliable than confirming them separately.
In projects to renovate or replace the filter element, the box has often been used for a period of time. At this time, the amount of light is not enough, and it depends on the condition of the blade itself.
Whether the edge of the knife is bent, whether there are bulges at the seams, and whether the four corners of the welding are flat, all of these will affect the sealing continuity after insertion. Sometimes there is no problem in measuring the size on one side, but when installing it, you find that a certain corner cannot be inserted all the way. The problem lies in the deformation of the blade edge.
There is another situation: after the old filter element is removed, aging sealing material or dust remains in the tank. If cleaning is not thorough, the actual depth to which the new filter element can be inserted will be affected. This type of problem is easily skipped during replacement operations, but it is precisely one of the sources of leakage points.
There is a matching tolerance between the blade edge and the groove body. If the position deviation of the four sides is too large, some sides may be in sufficient contact and some sides may not form a reliable seal.
When checking, it is recommended to calculate according to the most unfavorable side: if the position of the knife edge on one side is offset, the insertion depth is not enough. The four corners are prone to deviations. It is safer to check the continuity of the corners individually than to only look at the four straight edges.
For larger air supply vents, the rigidity of the box itself and the deformation during transportation must also be taken into consideration. The long side may undergo slight deformation under its own weight or lifting force. If this deformation is close to the fit tolerance, the actual state after assembly will be different from the drawing.
For new projects or renovation of old boxes, it is safer to do a trial installation first.
Choose a representative position, install the filter element into the box, check the placement status, the position of the pressing parts and the insertion of the four sides, and take photos and records if necessary. Confirm that there is no problem, and then arrange the batch according to this status. The advantage of this is that the conclusions of the dimensional verification can be applied to the actual object instead of staying at the drawing level.
After the trial installation, perform on-site leak detection according to the project plan, focusing on the four corners and frame interfaces. If leaks are found at the corners, first go back and check the deformation of the blade edge, tank body and box body. Do not directly judge the failure of the filter material - most leaks in the liquid tank seal are caused by the matching link rather than the filter element itself.
Ai Li industrial production HEPA/ULPA air filter and high-efficiency air supply port, liquid tank box and filter element can be matched in the same system. The matching dimensions of the knife edge and tank body are uniformly checked before leaving the factory, reducing on-site assembly problems caused by inconsistent standards.
For projects where the filter element needs to be replaced in an existing box, box drawings or actual measured dimensions of the knife edge can be provided to facilitate matching the filter element according to the actual condition. involving other terminal forms or For the FFU fan filter unit system, it is also recommended to check the end interface together to avoid only checking the filter element and ignoring the status of the box side.
