Product series

Four types of structures, adaptable to different filter sections

The bag type uses the depth of the bag body to expand the filter material, the compact folding type is suitable for shallower spaces, and the V-shaped and box types adopt an integral filter element structure. The structure name and efficiency level represent different product information respectively.

Bag type medium efficiency filter

Multiple filter bags are fixed on the outer frame, and the depth of the unit is used to unfold the filter material. The number of bags, bag length and bag spacing jointly affect the effective filtration area and expansion state. It is suitable for air conditioners and fresh air units with corresponding installation depths. Filter bags should be kept clear of coils, tank walls, and other components that may restrict expansion.

Compact pleated medium efficiency filter

The filter material is folded and fixed in a shallow frame, which is suitable for installing filter sections with limited depth. The filter element is maintained in shape by a support structure and can be taken out as a whole piece when replacing, making it easier to maintain units and equipment with a fixed depth.

V type combined medium efficiency filter

Multiple pleated filter elements are arranged in a V-shape within the frame, and a larger filtering area is arranged within a certain windward size and box depth. The overall frame is used for filter element positioning and installation sealing. The flange position, installation depth and entire handling space should be considered when selecting.

Box type medium efficiency filter with partition

The folded filter material is supported by a partition structure and a ventilation channel is formed, and the filter element is installed in the box-type outer frame. It is used in the corresponding air treatment filter section. The frame depth, separation structure and sealing surface must match the original equipment. During maintenance, the whole unit is usually taken out and replaced.

Efficiency description

Clarify filtering requirements based on detection classification

The same type of structure can be configured with different filter materials. The shape, number of bags or color cannot replace the efficiency label. When purchasing, efficiency requirements should be listed together with the testing basis for the corresponding product.

Use the original equipment grade

Marks such as F5, F6, and F7 are commonly found on old equipment and old sample books. When replacing the original specifications, the original standards and grade information should be retained, and the supply specifications should be determined based on the corresponding filter materials and product information.

Classified using ISO 16890

You can make requirements according to ePM1, ePM2.5 or ePM10 groups and efficiency values, and use the test results of the corresponding products. ISO 16890 differs from the old classification system in that it does not use a fixed one-to-one conversion.

Medium-efficiency filters are used for particle filtration, and the cleanliness level of the room cannot be determined based on its level alone; gaseous pollutants are also selected based on the chemical filtration media and treatment conditions.

From filter manufacturing to air treatment equipment matching

Aili Industry has a manufacturing base of 30,000 square meters. Its R&D and manufacturing cover air filters, motors, fans, control system software and hardware, sheet metal processing and complete machine assembly testing. The individual supply of filters and equipment matching are directly connected by the relevant manufacturing links.

Filter material and structure are matched with the same factory

The bag body, pleated filter element, support and outer frame are organized and manufactured according to product specifications. Structural adjustments can be directly implemented in the processing link to facilitate matching of non-standard sizes and equipment filter sections.

Direct connection to the filter segment interface

Filters work with sheet metal crews on frames, flanges, seals and access openings. When space changes or replacement parts do not fit properly, the reasons for the interface can be directly analyzed to reduce back-and-forth communication and repeated modifications.

Power and filtration are optional

When the unit is matched, the filter area, operating resistance and fan operating conditions shall be determined by relevant personnel. For projects involving pressure difference monitoring or alarming of the entire machine, interfaces can be arranged simultaneously in the control software, hardware and assembly links.

Balance purchase and maintenance costs

In addition to the unit price, the uniformity of specifications, filter resistance, assembly and disassembly time and subsequent replenishment are also taken into consideration. Prototypes, trial assembly and changes are connected internally, which helps reduce multi-party reporting, rework and repeated selection.

Common dimensions

The following lists the appearance of some products. The dimensions are in mm and the order is width × height × depth. Non-standard installation ports can be processed according to drawings, samples or original machine structure.

Sizes such as 592mm and 594mm belong to different product series. When replacing, they should be selected according to the actual shape and installation port, and cannot be interchanged based on nominal specifications only. Efficiency, rated air volume and initial resistance at this air volume should be included in the selected model information.

Compare resistance under the same air volume

Resistance data must have air volume conditions. The increase in the number of bags or the deepening of the shape is only meaningful when the conditions such as filter material, expansion state and effective area are clear; 'more filter bags' or 'lower initial resistance' are not enough to judge the plan alone.

Consider the operating status after dust accumulation

After the filter accumulates dust, the resistance increases, and the actual air supply volume is also affected by the fan and system operating conditions. When changing from long bag to short bag, from bag type to compact type, or when efficiency requirements are increased, the air supply capacity and maintenance margin should be re-evaluated.

Control the bypass to keep the filter bag or filter element working properly

Installation and replacement

Stop the machine and implement the power-off measures required by the equipment, and clean the installation frame and sealing contact surface.
Install according to the direction of product airflow, and the frame is reliably fixed by guide rails or pressing parts to avoid local extrusion and deformation.
The bag filter must have enough space to expand, and the bag body must not be pressed, rubbed or scratched by adjacent parts.
Check the frame, splices and sealing strips; record the specifications, date, operating settings and initial pressure difference after replacement.

Operation and maintenance

Combine the actual air volume and pressure difference records to determine the degree of dust accumulation. A low pressure difference may also be accompanied by a decrease in air volume.
When the filter material is damaged, the frame is loose, the seal fails, or is obviously damp, handle it in time and check the cause.
The replacement cycle is determined based on the use environment, operating time and product maintenance requirements, and the month is not uniformly applied.
Filter materials that are not explicitly allowed should not be restored to use by washing, brushing or blowing. The metal frame does not mean that the filter element is washable.

Frequently Asked Questions about Medium Efficiency Filters

How to choose between bag type and compact pleated medium efficiency filters?

The bag type requires space for the filter bag to expand, and the compact folding type is suitable for shallower installation depths. When selecting, compare the resistance under the same filtration requirements and air volume, and combine the outer frame, sealing and replacement direction. When the original machine is changed from one structure to another, it cannot be matched only by width and height.

What is the difference between V-type and partitioned box type?

The V-type usually combines multiple pleated filter elements in an overall frame; the box-type filter element with partitions forms a filter channel through the partition structure. The frame depth, installation surface and transportation method of the two may be different, and should be selected according to the filter section structure of the unit.

Why are some specifications 592mm and others 594mm?

They are actual dimensions in different series and cannot be considered the same because the nominal specifications are close. When replacing, please also check the installation port, flange, sealing strip and clamping parts, and supply them according to the actual size.

Can F7 be directly replaced by a fixed ePM1 level?

Conversions cannot be fixed based on name alone. The old grade uses different testing and classification methods from ISO 16890. The replacement requirements should be related to the original standard and corresponding product testing data to clarify the target classification and efficiency.

Can the color of the filter bag indicate the efficiency level?

Color is not a substitute for product grade. Different filter media or manufacturing series may use the same color and should be identified by labels, ordering specifications and corresponding testing evidence.

The more bags there are, the lower the resistance must be?

uncertain. Bag length, bag spacing, filter material, effective area and actual expansion status will all affect resistance. When comparing, the same air volume and corresponding filtration requirements should be used to avoid just looking at the number of bags.

Can medium-efficiency filters be used directly with higher levels?

Increasing the filtration requirements may change the resistance and air supply volume. It is also necessary to check the fan margin, unit space and maintenance conditions. It is recommended to select products based on the original operating records to avoid the air volume not meeting the usage requirements after replacement.

How often should medium efficiency filters be replaced? Can it be cleaned?

Replacement is determined by operating air volume, pressure difference, dust accumulation and integrity. There is no unified usage month. Whether it can be cleaned depends on the specific filter material and product description. The metal frame does not mean that the internal filter material is washable.

I already have the original filter but don’t have a complete drawing. Can I get a replacement?

You can first send photos of the label, appearance, frame and installation location, and explain the purpose of the original equipment and the known air volume. Aili Industrial can sort out replacement specifications based on this, and determine the interface through samples or supplementary dimensions if necessary.

Can we do non-standard sizes and OEM bulk supply?

We can negotiate non-standard shapes, bag numbers and bag lengths, frames, flanges, seals and equipment filter sections.
